Is there something wrong with this picture?

It's WINTER BREAK. I never thought it would come, but now it's here. I can do ANYTHING I want, but right now I prefer sitting on my ass and listening to college basketball games featuring teams that I really don't care about. Right now Missouri is losing to Illinois. Do I care? Absolutely not and I wouldn't care if Missouri was winning the game either. Now I do own a MUCK FIZZOU shirt, but Illinois did also beat the beloved Kansas basketball team last year in the NCAA tournament. But I'm listening to the game anyway. Why? Because I can do anything I want right now.

Since my life is THIS boring, I really don't have much to talk about. Today we cleaned the house and then went out to STONE CANYON, a horrible pizza restruant that just opened in west Lawrence. But still it was good to spend time with the family. Joe thinks I'm gay again, but he's being mean to everyone. My parents have accepted his behavior and have ceased from caring about what he says -- no matter how harsh it may be.

Last night Ann and I dropped her friend off at the airport and it was so crowded there. We were on 635 on our way back to Lawrence when this truck in front of us (about 300 yards ahead) lost control and crossed 3 lanes moving to the left and hit the middle wall that divides the interstate. The truck's side made sparks against the median and then crossed the 3 lanes again and almost either flipped over or went in the ditch. Ann and I were pretty freaked out by the incident, but were ok. We were just lucky that we weren't closer to the path of the truck or we wouldn't be here to talk about it. This just reminds me of how stupid people can be to be racing on interstates in KC. Like Jason. He is really into doing that shit and I can't believe that he is putting his and many other people's lives in jeopardy by RACING at speeds exceeding 100 mph on the interstate. Ann couldn't have said it better: these roads are for getting from one place to another. If they wanted to race, then go find a race track. Ahh!! How stupid can these people be? Well, this particular almost major accident didn't apply to racing because I think the person driving the truck might have fallen asleep and may have been the reason why he lost control.

Well, tomorrow is December 23 and we're celebrating christmas in our house. Imagine that. Last time I checked, christmas was supposed to be on the 25th. Oh well, I'll let it occur tomorrow. Might as well get it over with. Just think...yesterday I completed my last final, and tomorrow I'm opening presents. Is there something wrong here? Plus my fat ass must scramble to find some presents tomorrow for 3 more people in my family. As for what I'm going to get? Here are my predictions:

1. Joe: Probably some cd or cdr's

2. Ann: I really don't know what, maybe a cd.

3. Parents: Money. I need it.

4. Grandmother: An antique house or something stupid like that. Yuck.

I'm so positive about this. Maybe I've grown to be too old for christmas. I really did enjoy Madeleine's present (the MUCK FIZZOU shirt, and a gift certificate to THE BROWN BOTTLE, a restruant in Cedar Falls that we're going to when I go up there). Very nice. She's the best!

Just in case you care (and I don't), Illinois beat Missouri.
