The Spanish-Themed Symphony

2002-05-19 @ 1:00 am

First I must apologize for not writing to Madeleine tonight, but I guess I chose to write in here instead. Today I woke up around 9:30 am and felt like horseshit. I could barely talk because my throat was so sore and my head was pounding. All of that studying hard for finals and not taking care of myself for weeks have taken it's toll I assume. I tried to take it easy today, that is after I got my remaining belongings out of my car.

I'm so mad at my roommate Steve. He's at the top on my 'shit list' (refer to previous entry) because he left town yesterday without checking out/helping me finish cleaning up the room. My sister and my dad had to come back with me after dinner to finish up. I think I have a sore throat from cleaning up all of that dust that piled up. Steve totally trashed his room and made little effort to clean things up. He just took his valuables and bolted town...while leaving some of his other things behind. What a complete asshole!

So the rest of the day I watched 2 movies that my brother downloaded. Well, actually I watched only half of Shawshank Redemption, and most of American Pie 2. American Pie 2 was really stupid as the only part I thought was decent was when the band geek person hooked up with Jim because those losers are good for each other. I'm sorry I watched that movie. What a waste of time...

Tonight our family went to Kansas City and ate at Lu Lu's. That place was really good. I liked they're spring rolls, and I ordered some 'Krapola' which I thought was really good, despite it's name. After that we went to the symphony and watched some spanish concert. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. 2 funny things happened during intermission. First we were standing in line for Cokes and this guy ahead of us got like 3 brownies, 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 cokes. My mom says 'looks like he's buying a lunch' REALLY loudly. the second one was when I was standing next to my dad and Ann, we were all staring around this woman who was falling out of her dress and being flocked by this middle aged man who definately wasn't her husband. To make a long story short, she looked like a prostitute. While staring, I said, 'wow, looks like they sell everything here.' I thought that was kind of funny, but I doubt the rest of you do.

Well, I have to wake up early because I promised my dad that I would go biking with him early in the AM. He just went to bed, so I'll be surprised if he'll be up early, but he usually is, so I'd better go to bed too!

Goodnight. Goodnight everybody.
