Figuring it out

2002-07-09 @ 10:13 pm

I came home from work today and was surprised to find out that Carlo and his girlfriend were at our house. Her car battery died and they needed someone to charge it. My mom picked them up from the Leid Center, which is where they were and had them over for 2 hours until I came home. She even bought them pizza. So I was surprised to see them and then jumped her car for them. So that was interesting.

Work was great again. I walked around with the fax lady whose name is Fran Scott. She's from Scottland and she's really cool. She says that she's going to celebrate my birthday already. She's really funny too, forwarded me some humorous emails she's gotten too from other co-workers. I had a great time working with her and I'll be there again tomorrow. I'm learning a lot already, but they just want me to get familiar with the place and help out wherever I can. It's really nice there.

I just talked to Madeleine briefly on AIM. We're considering on going to that Robert Plant concert, which I guess is on September 5th. Tickets are $50 though, but I forgot that I make more than that much in a day now, so it sounds like it should work. I told her before she had to go to start thinking about what we're going to do that one day I'm up there. Man I can't wait to see her.

Well, thats about it. Just work and whatever I do when I come home will dominate my week day. I'll admit it, work overall is pretty boring, but the people are really nice and that just makes it better. Plus the work isn't that hard and is easy to learn, so it all works out for me.

Since I have to drive all that way to work, I have to always fill up my cd changer with cds to keep my eyes on the road. So every week day that I update this, I'm going to list what was in my cd player:

1. Pete Yorn, Music For The Morning After.

2. Steely Dan, Greatest Hits

3. Crosby, Stills and Nash, CSN

4. Neil Young, Decade, Disc 2

5. Live, Throwing Copper

6. Orbital, Back to Mine

So yeah, I'm just going to do that every week day until I get bored of it.
