Sore eyes and harness tans

Wow, It's been a weekend of band! Woo Hoo!!!

We are going to Iowa State on Friday and we already have our show on the field already! Yeah! OK, we still have to correct some music things, but it's going to be great. I love band! I'm such a band geek it's horrible. But I'm more into it than I was all of last year and it definitely starts with the people that are in it. Our drumline is much closer this year already than it was last year. Keegan's party on Saturday was great. So many people showed up and he said that both kegs of beer and his famous 'big green' mix were finished by then end...something that never happened once last year. But I guess the only downside about this year is that there are only 150 or so people in the entire band. It's probably because the tuition increase or that most people around here are slackers these days. I can't believe that I almost was content on being a slacker. But I'm not anymore. Oh yeah, we're getting drunk on the way to Iowa State. Our band is so small that the drumline and my girlfriend are the only people that will be on the bus. Keith the drumline director (who last year was doing keg stands at the end of one of Keegan's parties) will be our only chaperone. So I guess there is a good tradeoff for having a small band. OK, OK, enough band talk.

Poor Madeleine. She's so overwhelmed with work. She seems really tired all of the time, but this is easily because of band, being the treasurer of her Scholarship Hall, and taking 12 hours of classes that well, lets just put it this way...I would flunk them. Yet, we have seen each other every night since she's been here which was last Thursday already. But she's got all of this work to do that I don't know when I'll see her again. I hope that I'll see her before friday, but if not, I'll know it's because she's got other things. Without a doubt that I'll be there for her though. She's the best, although she'll never admit it ;)

I like Brandi's (stats01) new lay out. Also check her profile...I say nice things? ;)

Ann left for Temple University today and her and my dad called tonight from Kentucky. I'm going to miss her a lot. I feel a little empty already knowing that she's gone, but she'll have a great time there. We didn't do half of the things that we planned to do this summer, but heck, we never do. Thats how our brother-sister relationship works.

I'm listening to 96.5 the Buzz right now and they're playing this 'Home Grown' music. It wasn't bad, but they just played this song that said 'Ride me like a cowgirl and I'll be your little horse.' Yeah, that was not nice.

Awhile ago I got an IM from Diana, Ann's friend who I have never met, yet talk with. However, she was at a camp all summer so I haven't heard from her all summer. Oh yeah, she gave me a birthday card though. Anyway, here's what she said:

Dianadale885 (10:00:43 PM): hey dude! can't talk...everything's too crazy. i'll tell you later in an email ok?

KUdRUMs (10:00:56 PM): haha

KUdRUMs (10:00:59 PM): ok

Dianadale885 (10:01:07 PM): latas

KUdRUMs (10:01:09 PM): good to hear from ya

KUdRUMs (10:01:41 PM): ann just left for temple today

Dianadale885 (10:01:47 PM): aw

KUdRUMs (10:01:57 PM): go see her sometime!

Dianadale885 (10:02:02 PM): that sucks dude. i'll write you an email once things calm down ok yo?

Dianadale885 (10:02:08 PM): yeh def!

KUdRUMs (10:02:09 PM): sounds good

Dianadale885 (10:02:13 PM): latas

KUdRUMs (10:02:16 PM): later

So I guess she'll give me an email...eventually. Until then, I'm about to have a good week which will be capped by that Iowa State vs Kansas game up in Ames. Did anyone see that Iowa State and Florida State game? Wow it was only 38-31 Florida State. I wonder if KU can do well. Anyway, if not, horray for mad drunkenness!
