Making the positives outweigh the negatives

2002-09-03 @ 3:45 pm

Madeleine and I are probably going to the Robert Plant concert in Kansas City on Thursday. I've never paid so much for tickets! Hopefully it will be worth it. My brother is going with one of his friends and he already paid for his. But I still have to go and get ours. The show is in two days and there are still tickets available. I heard that his new cd sucks and that makes me a little skeptical of going, but I suppose it will be an experience. Led Zeppelin rules and Plant was a part of that, so thats definitely a plus. Madeleine says that she doesn't want me to pay for two tickets, so she is paying for hers (another plus...GOD I'M CHEAP). And third, my own brother is going, so it can never hurt to follow in your (little?) brother's footsteps...so I guess the positives weigh out the negatives 3-1. OK, I'll go through with it ;) I mean you only live once! Oh man, I just downloaded one of his songs and I don't like it. MAN I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! I don't want to disappoint Madeleine, so I'm going to give her a call.

Then on Friday Madeleine's roommate Libby is having a birthday party out at Clinton Lake...yeah, you know what we'll be doing out there, heheh.

Damn! Madeleine's not home. I left a message...

Well, I moved into Ann's room yesterday. It looks really nice. I have a desk (finally) to actually do my homework on, Ann's computer which is nice, and plenty of room all to myself (for now). The only negative part of the deal is that I don't have internet access, but I can always come over here to the new computer room (my old room) when I need to use it (that is if there is the rare chance that Joe's not on it).

Hopefully this will cure my AIM addiction. Oh, AIM! What's the point when there's nothing to talk about? Most of the time it's mindless chit chat and thats all fine when there's nothing to be done, but when there is something else that requires my attention, it can be kind of a burden. It definitely was my freshman year of college when I was afraid to go out and meet people, but it reduced a little my sophomore year (except for talking for hours with Madeleine when we weren't spending time with each other in person), but this year will be different, and having no internet access in my room should help. However, I do have it on right now.

Sometimes I'm just full of shit.
