Friday night my mom took Madeleine and me to see John Williams, who is a classical guitar player, play a bunch of African songs with his band of very talented musical friends. It was pretty fun and I'm glad my mom took us. She bought their cd, Magic Box, and I've been listening to it and it's pretty good. I still have to make Madeleine a copy.

After that we went to go to Leslie's and Jason's party and stayed there for about 20 minutes because Madeleine was sick and had a hard time just staying awake. Poor baby. It was fun though and I'm glad that we at least showed up. We then went to Dillons and she bought cough medicine and bought me some blueberry muffins because I was kind of hungry for some reason. As we were driving back to Miller, we saw that the Dunkin Doughnuts closed down and they were pretty much tearing down the building I guess. Thats too bad because it was a good place to get food late at night when I was hanging out with Jason, Will, and Carlo in the past. Oh well. When we got back to Miller we ate the muffins and some popsicles and ALMOST finished the crossword. We get closer everytime we do it. We'll get it next time.

Well, Dr. Oliver did do something about the excessive rehearsals for Saturday...he said that no section could rehearse before 3:30 pm!!! I was so happy about that because if I hadn't said anything, we would have practiced much more than what we did yesterday prior to the show. It actually went pretty well too. Star Wars was pretty shakey and the saxophone section took my spot going into our origional set for Bohemian Raphsody (which initally made me furious, but it's ok now), but overall, we did all we could do and practicing more the day of just wouldn't make it any better. After that, I went with most of the drumline went to Hooters in Overland Park and drank 2 pitchers of beer w/Keegan and Jose. Then we all went back to Keegan's and I bought beer for everyone and a lot of people ended up getting pretty drunk last night. At around 1, Madeleine called and was still very sick, so I went over to Miller and spent the night with her. She says she's getting better now and that makes me happy.

I'm so glad we got to turn back the clocks today! This has been a pretty nice weekend of not doing much homework (I did a little yesterday and a little just until now), so I don't really want the weekend to end yet.

I get 3 tests back this week coming up and I'm feeling a little nervous of the results. I shouldn't be because I studied hard for all of them, but I always seem to expect the worst this time of year because I get tired of working hard schoolwise and bandwise. I also seem to be burning the candle at both ends by working hard and not sleeping enough all the time. That can really take it's toll on you. I really need to make sure that I take good care of myself this week because I have that PPST test on Thursday too. Madeleine is going to help me for it though and I don't have any tests this week, so it really shouldn't be that bad at all. I'll just keep working hard and do the best I can and things will work out. I can do it.
