Wake up DAMNIT

2002-11-07 @ 11:04 a.m.

I'm really tired and I wish that I had more time to sleep. I didn't study at all for a politics quiz for today and I guessed on pretty much every question, but I bet I got at least 7 right (hopefully). Then I took a quiz in econ and for sure only got six out of ten on it (ouch). I'm bummed out about that and I hope that I can pull up my quiz grade scores by the end of the semester.

I'm taking the final parts of the PPST in less than two hours. I'm just going to take my time with it and make sure I read everything clearly before answering the questions. I did a couple practice problems last night and it really helped when I fully read through the questions. I felt like I had enough time to take the math test last week (and I passed), so hopefully things will go as well today.

I must finish my three short essay questions today for scholarship hall. I actually finished them, but Madeleine made changes and we need to go over them. But I'm so tired that I also plan on taking a nap if I can when I get the test over with. I'll have to call Madeleine and work that out with her. She also suggested on seeing 'Punch Drunk Love' tonight, but we'll see if I'm up to it. My brain is begging for a rest and after the tests, I think I will desperately need some.

OK, even though the Pearl Jam cd was a flop, I still need to get a couple of cd's (burn them of course). I guess David Gray is coming out with a new cd, so I'm thinking of checking that out, maybe check out the new Nirvana cd, possibly listen to that new Foo Fighters cd, and probably buy the Ben Folds Live cd if I can battle with myself over the fact that I really REALLY need it. I mean, I like Ben Folds and I've been to 2 of his concers now, but I'm not convinced that the live cd will be worth it even though I've heard that it's great. HA, well, you know that I'll eventually buy it. It's just a matter of when.

Even though the Marching Band gets a day off tomorrow, the drumline has a 1.5 hour sectional tomorrow at the field to learn how to march and play the drill to the drum break of 'Pinball Wizard.' We're playing a video game show and it's pretty cool. Keegan wrote the drill for Pinball Wizard and right when we go to the drumbreak the band forms into a Pong-like formation with the tubas as the pong ball. They 'bounce' around the two formed blocks until the end of our drum break. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's fun drill (if we can get it together in time). I really don't want extra rehearsals, but this is promised to be the only one and some of the parts are going to be a little wattered anyway to make it easier, so I hope it works. The football team will be 2-9 when we play the show next week (definitely will lose to Nebraska on Saturday), so hopefully enough people will show up for the Oklahoma State game to see our cool show. Damn our football team sucks!

Well, time to go to my econ discussion before I take my test. Wish me luck!
