Christmas Katie

2002-12-25 @ 7:51 pm

Well, I'm currently sitting here listening to jam bands. I guess you could call it me celebrating a truly wonderful string cheese christmas (that's SCC for those scoring at home).

Blah, christmas this, christmas that. Today we went over to my grandmother's where I proceeded to develop a gigantic knot in my stomach. I just didn't want to be there...in fact I doubt anyone really truly wanted to be there. It was so fake and stupid, but that's OK because after all, it only happens once a year. Well maybe twice this year for me...I'm going to my grandpa's on Friday.

I didn't get anything for christmas. OK, let me change that sentence. I didn't get much for christmas. Just an IPOD :) It's freaking amazing. I never thought that I would get it, but my parents went out and got it for me. Of course it is my only present, but it's totally worth it. It's great. Thanks parents!

But as always, it's much better to give than to receive. I bought my sister a DVD, my brother a Phish shirt, my mom a book, and my dad a Bob Marley cd. LOL. He actually likes it though. I have to burn him my other Bob Marley cd and other stuff I got of him off the internet. I guess my dad's really into reggae now because he listens to it on the community radio station in Kansas City (90.1 FM).

My friend Will just IMed me and asked if I wanted to move into his apartment because he wants to move into another one. That way I would live with Jason...which would be awesome. I told him that I would strongly consider it if I didn't make it into scholarship hall. So far I haven't heard anything form them, but I think I will soon...hopefully. But I think it would be cool to live with Jason too. However, I need to meet more people and I know that scholarship hall people are awesome. But if for some freak reason it doesn't work, I think living with Jason would be cool. I guess we'll have to see about this one.

Well, I've gotten most of my grades and I'm pretty unhappy with them. I got a B in my history class. It really bums me out because I worked really hard in there and basically messed up on one freaking essay question and I guess that means that I get a B. I know I did well on that final, even if I was really tired from studying and taking a final in int. politics earlier that day. I did get an A in int. politics though, which I'm really happy about even though I studied really hard and probably deserved. I really worked hard this semester, but I'll get a 3.3 out of it, which isn't too bad I guess because it is the best Fall GPA ever for me, but I always do so much better in the spring. Oh well...you win some, you lose some.

I haven't talked to Madeleine at all since Friday. I miss her a lot and I'm in the process of writing her a large email. I'm also just importing songs from my cds and putting them onto my new IPOD. It's very nice. But not as nice as Madeleine! lol.

bye. Oh, btw...Christmas Katie is a song by Widespread Panic. Just another bit of information for those scoring at home.
