Resolve in 2003 (A Funny Looking Year)

2002-12-31 @ 11:43 p.m.

Fifteen minutes to update before it becomes 2003. So that means I have just enough time to write as many new years resolutions as possible in that amount of time. Let's see how many I can get:

1) Don't be tight with money. Yes this is a huge problem with me. I only spend a lot when it comes to giving presents, but I hardly ever keep the money spending a lot on myself because I just feel like I'm poor all the time (when I'm really not). So basically, I'm telling myself to lighten up and spend more without worry.

2) Exercise Exercise Exercise MORE. I mean, I used to love being an animal and doing all kinds of athletic things. Then I got lazy this year. So this semester I am going to make sure I exercise every day and go swimming as many times as possible each week. Then I'll be fit, healthy, and strong. Blah, blah, blah. Unfortunately, it's all true...

3) Don't get depressed about Madeleine leaving. Make new friends, enjoy life.

4) Spend more time with my brother. I don't really know if we're going to be able to spend a whole lot of time together when he goes off to college next year, so I'm going to make the most of the time we have left. We'll try to go to some shows.

5) Don't worry so much. I have a tendency to let issues bother me to the point where I can't think straight. I'm desperately trying now to just let things go and just live life the way it's meant to be lived.

6) Get into school of education. Should be easy enough.

7) Get a job in the summer that relates to my future profession. Tutoring, summer school, teaching swimming lessons, whatever.

8) Mom.

9) Continue to stay focused in school and keep getting good grades. So far so good on this one.

10) Don't get a KU parking ticket. So far none this semester (a miracle by all standards).

So this all sounds pretty good. I don't really do New Years resolutions very often, but I think it might be nice to have some this year. Personal goals are always good anyway...

Well...It's 2003 now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Tomorrow is another day.
