Productive half day

2003-01-04 @ 6:18 pm

I had a semi productive day considering the fact that I woke up at noon. I planned on waking up at nine, but I stayed up too late last night watching the best college football game ever and talking with Madeleine on AIM until 3:30 am. What a fun night.

Wow. That game was too close to call. Miami won the game...for about 2 seconds. And then Ohio State won for real. And to have the underdog pull off the upset. There were about 6 moments throughout the game where it looked like the other team was going to win for sure, but the other team came back to even the score. Just a wonderful game to watch and for it to occur during the national championship game made it much better. I don't really care for either team, but the way the game was played made it special.

I just got really lucky when I came home when I sat down to check and respond to email when Madeleine came on. She told me that she had just gotten back from watching 'Catch Me If You Can' with some of her high school friends. We talked for a long time about how much we missed each other and how we can't wait to see each other. She's so wonderful!

So yeah, I was really productive today considering the late night. I washed my car and cleaned it all out, plus washed my parent's cars as well. Then I got a haircut because I couldn't go up to Iowa before I did. It looks ok I guess. I just like it long now. lol.

Wayne Simian got hurt in the game against UMKC today. He dislocated his shoulder, but news reports say that it was popped back into place. Jason and I can remember when Wayne was in high school and played our high school and injured his shoulder in that game too. It wrecked Leavenworth's chance at a state title. If they did in fact pop his shoulder back into place, it's good because he can possibly come back and play this season. But we're going to need him a lot down the stretch. Against Iowa State, we're going to be down to 2 scholarship big men. We do have 2 walk on forwards though and that's good I suppose. But it's going to be hard going in there to play Iowa State.

Well, better run now. Going to watch more basketball.
