I went up and saw Madeleine last week in Cedar Falls. It was great to be able to be with her before she goes off to Europe. We really didn't do a whole lot. We exchanged presents...I gave her a diary to write me in, burned cds, and a cd player. My mom also gave her $100 and a card. Madeleine got me a Who live DVD, a necklace that's a little small for me, but we'll fix it, a diary for me to write her in, and a KU final four shirt.

One memory from this trip was made the night before I left. It was Madeleine's mom's birthday and Madeleine and I were going with her new adopted brother Ryan to the Olive Garden when her car tire deflated on the highway. It was really really cold outside and we weren't sure we had all of the tools to replace the tire with the spare. So I decided to try and walk the 3 or 4 miles back to the house. Stupid move...luckily Madeleine's dad saw us and gave her his car and Madeleine drove and picked me up after I had ran a mile and a half down the road. I was so dead...cold and exaughsted. I had a pretty bad cold that night which kind of dampened her mom's surprise birthday party, but I don't think it was that bad. I sure hope not.

So that was pretty much my trip...

So today I've done a lot of things. I got into Scholarship hall last week and today I just got back from starting to move in. Everyone I've met so far seems very nice and I think I'll have a good time. It's an old house and the furniture is pretty rickety and old, but it's a scholarship hall. Should be fun. I also took care of my communications credit (finally) by getting my high school transcript to prove that I took debate and got above a B grade in it. Now, I have to focus on getting 3 letters of recomendation and write a 2 page resume by January 27th. So basically that gives me 2 weeks. School starts Thursday.

So, that's basically been what's going on in a short and simple run down. I'm planning to get hooked up to the internet at Pearson tomorrow, so I'll probably have some time to update this thing once in awhile ;)
