Low key, but semi busy weekend ahead

2003-02-07 @ 1:04 a.m.

Its late and I should be in bed, but I took a nap this afternoon and am not too tired right now. So I guess I'll bore myself to sleep by writing in here.

I'm slowly getting better dealing with Madeleine not being here with me. It seems that its the hardest when someone mentions something that reminds me about her. A good example of this is Valentine's Day. Not just because its Valentine's Day, but its also her 20th birthday then too. I mean, what a way to spend your birthday than to be in Italy. But unfortunately she won't be here and that's sad for both of us. She told me that she's coming back to the states in 13 weeks. Hopefully I'll see her soon after that!

So tonight was low key, but fun. I did Pearson's happy loopy day celebration thing for the first time. Did laundry. Apologized to Brandi (I like her and her diary too much to stop conversation with her). Played pool with this girl named Kim. She asked me to go swimming with her on Saturday. I should ask Josh to come with us. That was about it. I guess it does going to a club or something else like some of my friends always do on thursday nights. I'm just not like that...

Tomorrow I've got 3 classes (man I should be in bed now!) and then going out for lunch with Jenny and Laura. Then my mom's picking me up at 3 and we're going to see a movie at Liberty Hall and then eat dinner after. Miller's hosting a sleepover for us at 9 tomorrow night. If I go, it will be so weird without Madeleine, but I know so many of the Miller girls anyway. So I might go.

Saturday is the KU vs K-State game at Allen Fieldhouse West. But K-State has improved and they very well cold pull off an upset. So then I guess I'm going swimming and also have to start studying for my two tests. But I plan on either hanging out with the drumline people or if that doesn't happen maybe rent a movie. I'm in that low key mood anyway this weekend. Maybe I'll buy some beer ;)

Sunday I'm going with my mom to pick up my dad and Joe from the airport. That and studying. Joe's tryout at Stony Brook went well but he wasn't sure they taped his playing and was down because the instructor he wants to take from wasn't there. He's trying out at Temple on Saturday. They're in Philadelphia right now with Ann, so I hope they're all having a good time.

Well, thats whats going on for the weekend. Until then, see you on the otherside.
