Recoving from the storm

Well good news for Kansas basketball fans. All the players have said that they are staying...including the recruits that make up the top five recruiting class in the nation. All KU needs now is a top notch coach like Illinois' Bill Self (my favorite), Gonzaga's Mark Few, Marquette's Tom Crean, Michigan State's Tom Izzo, or Kentucky's Tubby Smith. I'd take any of these coaches because they've been very successful at their respective schools and could coach this upcoming talented team quite well. But I'd take Self first because he is one heck of a coach and its so hard to root against the guy. He'd fit in so well here since he was an assistant here under Larry Brown in 1985-86. But currently he's in Florida on vacation, but KU has contacted Illinois' athletic department, so he is a candidate.

I can't imagine a coach replacing Roy Williams. Roy was a great fit here and this decision could haunt him in the future. Bringing in a great coach could greatly improve the confidence of the current and new players here. If we bring in Self, we could be back in the Final Four or deep in the tournament very soon. But the sad thing is that this school is poor as shit. All we have to sell this program to the coaching candidates are our current players Williams recruited and our history, the greatest in college basketball. What we don't want is a coach like Larry Brown or William's assistant Joe Holliday because they are old. And we don't want someone who is driven by money. However, I doubt the candidates I listed above are money hungry to the point where they would jump in a couple of years if KU doesn't pay them what they want. I hope Self isn't like that. He is making a lot of money at Illinois currently. I just hope he comes here and we win a national championship and he stays here longer than Roy Williams.

That would be great.

Also the really bad thing that I couldn't talk about is getting better.

I haven't been this happy in awhile!
