An end to the worst month of my life

2003-04-30 @ 3:16 p.m.

Like I said before, this April has been and probably will be (unless I experience some sort of catastrophic event) the WORST month of my life. So many bad things have happened this month. Lets recap:

Monday, April 7: Kansas loses to Syracuse in the national championship game. This was only the beginning, but at this time I was really mad and sad that my school lost the game. What a heartbreaker.

Sometime between April 8 and about a week ago: The two week period of hell in my life. I still and will not talk about what happened, but this alone changed my life. Just crazy. About a million things were running through my mind at this time and I felt so alone and depressed. Just really sad. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Monday, April 15: Roy Williams leaves Kansas for North Carolina. This was right in the middle of the tough two weeks I was going through. What are you going to do when the coach leaves? I felt pretty damn helpless and almost ashamed to be going to Kansas. Definitely another low moment.

Last night, Tuesday, April 29: Probably will go down as one of the top 10 most embarrasing nights of my life. We get to the Wesley Willis concert and my brother tries to make a U-turn in the parking lot, but doesn't realize the curb is very close to the van. We hit the curb and blow out a tire! But thats only the beginning. We're able to fix the tire and put a spare on, so thats ok, but when we go into the place we have to sit there for an hour and a half for the opening act which was absolutely horrible. And then...we get thrown out! So basically it was a horrible concert anyway. We got to see Wesley Willis up close, just before getting tossed...he's really big. Man, what a waste. Wasted about $40 last night because I paid for Joe's, Jose's, and Scott's ticket in addition to my own. But it could have been a lot worse, so I'll take my losses. My parents weren't mad at all about the flat tire. They just want us to clean up the van because the spare made some marks on the carpet. So I feel like we're in the clear on the most part. And at least we didn't get thrown out of a more expensive concert. Yet another good learning experience. Haha, I never thought it would happen to me. I feel so dumb right now about it, but it'll be ok in the long run. I just got a call from my mom and my brother doesn't even have to pay for the tire. Yeah, I guess accidents happen. We did get off lucky. What an interesting night.

Well, I'm going to go help clean out the van and forget about this horrible, horrible month.
